Dr. Kirson is an applied economist with extensive experience in the pricing, contracting, and financing of health care interventions, as well as health economics and outcomes research (HEOR). He has worked closely with many different stakeholders in the health care industry, including payers, government agencies, leading law firms, academic experts, and biopharmaceutical and device manufacturers. Dr. Kirson has managed numerous research projects, including design of outcomes-based contracts, analysis of pharmaceutical pricing, and evaluation of alternative financing mechanisms for high-priced innovative therapies. He has participated in numerous conference presentations, and his work has appeared in many peer-reviewed publications. He has also been featured in non-academic outlets such as Health Affairs Blog, STAT and Law360. Dr. Kirson earned his Ph.D. in economics at Harvard University.
